The Aumont building below is in Seguin, Texas, a small town very close to San Antonio that I had never visited before. I sketched across the street beneath a tall pecan tree -- appropriate as Seguin is known as the pecan capital of Texas.
I sketched this scene of the Vidorra apartments in San Antonio from inside my truck just before dusk, and took it home to finish the bricks and windows later.

these are precious sketches Paul! I could stare at each of them for a long time, it's too bad i really should think about going to sleep now ;) thanks for the tip about the Bristol... sometimes i feel tired of the moleskine but can't seem to build up the courage to sketch on single sheets of paper. i panic at the thought of not having a fold
Amazing detail!
Amazing detail!
Amazing detail!
wow! these are sensational - how long do they take?
Mesmerized! I really love your neat lines.
You know you're extremely annoying with this beautiful detail, don't you?
These drawings are fantastic! They make me think that you deeply love the place you have represented...
bristol is so nice to draw on, i keep meaning to bring mine out but it's so big. i bought a smaller one, but haven't opened it yet. The detail is great - every brick too! But also the careful shading, it's very precise. Good work!
Amazing perspectives...very well drawn. Great compositions too.
Congratulations
Beautiful style, Paul! I love how you manage to draw the cars in your works. They really set off the sketches without becoming too important..
Wow, thanks everyone! Liz, they each took a hair under 2 hours.
Wow!
Beautifully detailed sketches! Wonderful views of cities I've never seen.
