Tonight I bought a Pogo Stylus for my iPhone and did a few sketches in the subway with the newish Vellum application.

Urban Sketchers has a custom Moleskine sketchbook. Would you like one?
We have a limited supply of the sketchbooks created for the recent Symposium that we are offering in exchange for a minimum donation of $25 to our nonprofit (we'll cover shipping to any country). To secure your notebook, click on the red 'support urban sketchers' button on the right sidebar. More information.

Excellent! I'm curious - is the Pogo stylus worth the money in your opinion?
That's sheer lunacy! What a great loose sketch! First I thought it's done with a feather, but iPhone beats it alldewor@kunstlabor-dewor.de :-
Thanks!
Caro, I am trying to imagine using a feather while standing up on the train!
Myfanwy, the Pogo was worth the $15 to me, in part because I am very curious about the potential of the iPhone for sketching (amongst many other things).
Fingers/thumbs will still have their place, but when you do meed more controlled placement (I hate to zoom), or just want the feel of a pen, the stylus is great.
The Pogo itself may not be the best possible stylus. It seems to have some dead spots/angles. But this may just be something I need to get a feel for. Or it could be a limitation of the app I'm using.
they look great!
i like the calligraphic effect. sometimes the constraints are the best part of a new tool. These have a great feel to them!
Thanks!
Now I am upset because I can;t figure out a way to import them to a painting app (Layers or Brushes) that doesn't mess up the resolution and make them all jaggy.
I'd love to draw in Vellum and color elsewhere.
Thanks for your answer, Jason - I think the stylus might be on my wishlist for Christmas then!
