La Araña cement plant

When I was a child and my parents took us to the beach, you still had to drive through the old road that ran close to the sea shore, heading East from Málaga; when reaching the neighborhood known as "La Araña" I was always shocked at the sight of the colossal grey structure of a cement plant.

Since many years ago it is no longer necessary to go through that place as a new wider road has been built farther inland, and now I do not travel in the back seat any more, as it's me who drives now, but whenever I drive pass I see the giant still stands in the same place, and even larger... and I still feel threatened in some way.

Nice. The strike me the same way. Beauty and menace. Industry and decay

Wonderful drawing! The sense of an industrial site came through nicely and I admire your line work. Excellent observation. Thanks for the posting.

This is amazing. You've really captured the feeling of standing before a cold, imposing piece of the modern industrial world. Wonderful lines and value.
