This is the Conjunto Nacional building, on Paulista Ave, Sao Paulo / Brazil. The construction of this building started in 1954. The 26 years old architect David Libeskind won a competition to project this full block complex, which includes 2 offices and one residential building set on the same tower. (the residential apartments are seen on the right part of the tower). The basement is open and connect the streets that surround it. There are banks, restaurants, gym, bookstores, cafes, and all kind of stores. The clock over the tower is quite a landmark in Sao Paulo. A few weeks ago, a drew the avenue from the terrace over the basement.
