:: Update November 03.02009 ::

The view from Franklin Terrace. In between teaching classes I find myself sitting in front of this building drawing the various cars getting ticketed every 20 minutes or so. Franklin Terrace is the main building of our department (Comunication Arts), where I teach. At least the bikes are posing still.....since the cars I am drawing always have the tendency to speed off prior to finishing them :)

An evening in solitude. Drawing the corner of my miniature apartment. Looking over my apartment drawings makes me realize how I have n0 studio space....and how frustrating rugs can be... How immobile I find myself hopping from chair, to kitchen, to my computer desk..as if piercing through an obstacle course. It has a certain charm about it , I suppose. Feels like a small cottage out in the mountains, at times. Which can be a relaxing thought when city life becomes suffocating.

Every time I promise myself that I will stop drawing cars... They find them selves positioned in front of me, immobile for an extended period of time...so I cannot resist the temptation. Of course, the second I start drawing, I can hear footsteps approaching, keys jingling, and the engine turning on and driving away. Drawing cars is a curse. :)
The lady Ameenah, always graceful in her movement and posing. I feel blessed to be able to draw her daily. An incredible and inspiring artist as well.

Excellent drawings, as always. Your caring about the details is fantastic! Lady Ameenah's expression is great!
