Showing our hometowns and travel destinations in a new way

MyMidwest Magazine features USk

If you happen to be flying Midwest Airlines between now and the end of the year, look USk up in their inflight magazine, MyMidwest. They contacted us back in August interested in running a feature about Urban Sketchers.

Keeping their readers in mind, the idea was to feature sketchers who live in cities where the American airline flies. There was only room to feature a few of us but we can all take pride in the fact that our sketching community is getting this kind of attention. And they even run our manifesto! What a great present to open as our blog turns 1 year old!

What a great development! Well done Gabi.

Maybe you could also keep in mind those of us who travel places and produce sketchbooks as a result as well?

I sketched my way across three southwestern American states in 2006. Maybe I ought to start uploading some of those sketches? ;)

Well deserved attention! I would much rather be admiring sketches than flipping through that infernal SkyMall catalogue.
