power of vito

I only kinda sorta did Sketchcrawl 25. I was busy preparing for a trip, so I kept it to a minimum. Did one outside, up behind Davis Community Church - see below - in a peaceful little courtyard away from the hustle and bustle of the farmer's market, and even then I was feeling chilly (what a wuss!). So I went indoors and had a beer and a sickening amount of garlic fries (no really, it gave me a bad stomach-ache) at Uncle Vito's, on the corner of 2nd and E.

Tomorrow (Friday 27) I will be doing some urban sketching in Soho, London, with my friend Simon (both braving the chilly finger weather), so if you should see me on my little stool say hello, or pull out a sketchbook and join in!

Nice contrast, from the bar interior to outdoor light. Love the juxtaposition.

Sorry not to be able to join you in Soho today. There's a north wind blowing - fingerless gloves weather?

my hands did get cold, but jumping into a pub after each sketch sorted that out! It was fun, i really miss sketching in London.
