I've also been to see the Anish Kapoor show at the Royal Academy on Piccadilly — the galleries are busy, and there's a long queue for tickets. As well as his pigment works and reflective sculptures, every 20 minutes a cannon fires great gobs of coloured wax across one of the rooms (away from the viewing public, I should add), leaving expressive splatters across the academy's walls. It's interesting, too, to see how people react to his mirror works: in order to get the full effect you have to stand close to them, to view the distortions and magnification of your own reflection. This is something we usually do in the privacy of our own bathroom, and it's odd to push your way through a crowd to do so. An odd, self conscious dance by people getting themselves into focus takes place through the afternoon. The show continues until 11 December.

Kapoor's show looks like great experience, for now I need to be satisfied with it's promo on YouTube.
Always love your sketches!
great simple forms
All the marks in the right place make a great drawing.
lovely. red is nice.
The marks don't seem to be in the right place, Don, not when I'm doing it. I'm not even sure now. The whole drawing thing is an exercise in doubt.
