"GIVE A LITTLE, GET A SKETCH" Our holiday fundraiser continues through Jan. 3rd. We have raised $594 so far, almost double of our original goal! Thank you! If you haven't already and decide to donate today, we still have two prints available from our Holiday Prints Set for donations at the $75 level and above. And no matter how small your contribution, we'll send you a high-resolution jpeg for your personal use from our Holiday Digital Set. Any amount will make a difference as we build a fund for artists grants and scholarships. To donate, click "Support Urban Sketchers" on the left sidebar.

Once, I was given this advice...

Using the full spread and a wider perspective to give a better sense of the inner space, were my ideas for this sketch, while ridding this bus to the city center. As you can see it was almost empty and that probably helped me too. But it reminded me of an advice an architect once gave me, about being able to draw spaces looking like their real size: "Make it a little bigger" he said " and it will look real". Don´t know it I went to far, but at least it doesn´t look like some of my earlier sketches, that make you wonder if I was ridding the bus or a tiny elevator...

I think the use of an unusually wide format is excellent in this drawing - really reflecting your situation

Fabulous color and great scene, it reminds me of when I used to ride the bus to work...
