I sketched this spot some months ago.
I was enthusiastic about the narrow alleys in Lisbon's old corners.
The long walls, the rusty gates, some pieces of land still unbuilt.
I've been there again. Fences have arrived, and with them the caterpillars, the cranes and the steel wires.
Soon the views will be quite different.

I agree with you - these kind of urban spaces need to be explored by sketchers.
