Marranzano World Festival 2

Sunday was the last day of the festival. All the participants were at the courtyard of an old building at via Crociferi in Catania. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. There were tables with information, instruments and Cd's. There was music everywhere. Suddenly one started playing and others joined, people gathered to dance, and when they finished another one started in another corner.

In this group you can see a zampogna. It is made from goat skin. Salvatore Vinci plays it, I made a portrait from him while he later played for the tradicional dance workshop.

There was also an old man showing the participants how to dance. He was very elegant dressed in his sicilian clothes. A black coppola over his white hair, a white shirt and dark clothes.
