every leaf speaks bliss to me
November is a nice time to sketch here in Davis. The sun is good, it's not really cold, shadows are getting longer even at lunchtime, and the leaves on the trees are turning. But there is less time to draw, now the clocks have gone back. That's ok, I'm at work most of the day anyway. This was done at lunchtime, when I cycled downtown and drew the house and tree at 4th and D.

You are amazing that you did this on your lunch hour, with a bike ride thrown in as well!!!!
That is such a peaceful drawing, I just want to look at it all day. If I had a print of that, I would mat and frame it and hang it somewhere I could look at it all the time. :)
::sigh::
thanks

I love the sketch and I love your watercolors.
Pete, you really do capture the charm of Davis which in my experience it truly lacked... but your drawings have been really changing my mind!
I so love the simplicity of this. The bookish/story telling quality. The honesty and especially the front tip of the car peeking in, eh.
Thank you!
