rock and roll sketching

first of all, i'm sorry jerry.
but not really. i saw one of my young students drawing with panda-chalks (after the brand of those things) and it dawned to me, those were the oil-pastels you're always sketching with. i decided to give it a go, last night in the ancienne belgique in brussels.
i kind of enjoyed the expressionistic freedom.

i've been getting bored with my pencils anyway, lately, i needed to try something new. so it is pretty much possible you'll see some experiments in my sketching the following posts.

Nice work here! Love the blue lights. Oil pastels are great, like drawing with lipstick. I also like using non toxic mediums like Gambol paint thinner (odorless) on a brush to moosh it around into a paste or a wash. Fun!

hey, looks like i got a visit from the band. :)
just contact me through my bloggerprofile, my emailadress is on there, if you're not satisfied with the resolution of the sketch. i'll send through a larger one then.

@Julie, Gambol paint thinner? i don't think i know about that, there's a slight language barrier here. what's it like? who uses it on urban Sketchers?
