Sketching the Brooklyn Shoreline for the Glass Bees

Jason Das sketching for "Venice, Brooklyn" I'm a member of a sound art group called the Glass Bees. We did a completely gonzo performance/installation this week, "Venice Brooklyn" as part of the Conflux Festival. The project involved sound recording and editing, photography, found-object percussion, interviews, floral arrangement, and much more, including a bit of Urban Sketching! Here's the three ink and watercolor pieces I did for it.

(The originals are 18"x24", much larger than my scanner. These snapshots are the best I could get.)

Marine Parkway Bridge from Dead Horse Bay

Gerritsen Beach

oh mna, i'm envious of these, the brown and grey colour combination works so well with your black lines. This is some of my favourite stuff you've done, it's so nice.
