Largs

My holiday in Ayrshire would not be complete without a ride up to Loch Thom and an espresso at Nardini's cafe on the front. I'm reminded we're at the beginning of the Highlands when I notice the signs are translated into Gaelic from here. Palms thrive thanks to the Gulf stream. The awning above me suddenly bears a striking resembalence to one of the viking longboat's sails which landed here all those years ago. And I finish my Banana and I'm off.

Ah that brings back nice memories - we were in Largs a few weeks ago and had a lovely fish supper and ice creams at Nardinis after a (windy) day spent cycling around Cumbrae. Thanks for reminding me!
