Looking at the beautiful drawings of Gerard of old cars touring near my town Maastricht, I could not resist to show these sketches of the same kind of old cars: a Peugeot 403 and a Citroen Traction Avant 1948.
I found them within a 6 km walk starting from our camping site in Limeuil, Dordogne (France). A beautiful village in a beautiful region.
Actually, the 6km featured 6 old cars: the Traction Avant was under the remnants of a ruined barn, a Citroen HY in use as a horsetrailer, the sketched Peugeot in the middel of a forest (no idea how it got there), another Peugeot in use as a chicked shed, a fully restored Moris minor convertible, and a Citroen Ami in use by a local farmer. Not quite in the same shape as the ones Gerard drew....

great finds
Thank you, Rene...
Your drawings are very fine too.
Another old Citroen.
Cool !
I don't care much about cars but the way you decided to portray these ones in the middle of the vegetation where you spot them is great plus the way you used the watercolor to produce depth great really really nice
Beautiful. The cars are great, but the setting really elevates it.
Thank you for your remarks
very nice drawing/paintings... a surprise element in the countryside walk.
these cars are great! The green might be abit acid somehow, but I really love how you rendered the old bent metal of the cars!
