Too Hot to go out sketching - again!

090207 Backyard View on Hot Morning

I love the contrast that we get on this blog! While most of you are suffering from the cold....we have the other problem.

This weekend is Sydney's turn to share in the heatwave that has afflicted a lot of the southern half of Australia in recent weeks. They forecasted 40+C day today so I went out this morning before it got too hot to sketch ... Sitting in the shade of our back verandah in a temperature of only 33C.

Liz, another great drawing of life in Sydney! Very nice contrast between the old and the new, with wonderful light effects and robust lines.

I love all the notes at the side, gives a real feel about the place.

My sister who lives in Canberra has been complaining about the heat, so the whole of Eastern Australia must be effected. You have my condolences, as I am not looking forward to the 100f+ temps we have here in the summer.
