French Riviera

Here are some colour sketches I made over the last year in the south.

This is a view over La Napoule from Mandelieu.

The chateau Henry Clewes at La Napoule.

The cathedral at Fréjus.

The school where my girlfriend worked.

The Basilica at Menton near the French/Italian border.

These are gorgeous and I love your style. I particularly like the last one of the Basilica. Did you use pastels in this?

Thnx Diane-no pastels-sketched out in colour pencil (soluble), watercolour washes & the blue sky added in Pshop.

They are all lovely Matt, though I do need to agree with Diane above, the last one is just beautiful and is my favorite too. Earthy colour palette that contrasts nicely with the Pshop sky.

You were busy while in France.
