Seattle sketchcrawl at the University of Washington campus

We had a great turnout for our sketchcrawl in Seattle. It was cloudy and rainy at times but not too cold. The location where we drew this time was the University of Washington campus, which offers a great mix of architecture: a lot of gothic style halls and some stark, more functional-looking buildings. Both of my sketches where drawn from what is known as the "red square," because of the redish color of the pavement. On some rare very clear days you can see Mount Rainier from here.

Check out what the rest of our group drew on the Seattle thread of the sketchcrawl forums —in case you're curious, I'm the guy with the yellow raincoat.

great sketches. Feels like you've had a real productive day! Love the red square - it's so different from the one we have here. Thank you for sharing!

As a former "hanger out" there, I greatly approve!

these are really beautiful, well-crafted drawings! I'd love to know more about your process, and the time it takes to create these.
