Oh Happy, Happy Day!
I really have no words at this moment, I am just so happy that Barack Obama is our president.
Today was a day of nerves, excitement and a lot of protesting Proposition 8, which eliminates same-sex marriage. These are a few of the sketches I did down at City Hall (with the exception of the last one), where the energy was electric. Occasionally a Christian fundamentalist would pop up and scream at everyone with bibles in their hands. One woman was protesting something about microchip implants— not sure what that was all about. I was really impressed by how many people were so moved by this election to vote for the very first time in their lives— young and old. People seemed to come together, chatting enthusiastically with strangers, helping others understand the voting process. I loved seeing the pride on people's faces as they walked down the street with their "I Voted!" stickers on their chests.
I am so proud to be an American right now, and for the first time in a long time, I feel hope.

Hello SZaza! I'm Vera, from Portugal. I'm so proud in Obama! Today, if I was a rich woman, I would fly from Portugal to USA, to sing and dance, to be a part of the American Dream!!!
