Commuter jet

charlotteairport111108

I just got back from visiting family in North Carolina. We had great weather and a peaceful, relaxing time with plenty of sleep, food and games, including some exciting rounds of Battleship with my kids.

On the way back we flew from Charlotte to Seattle via Chicago. Above is the American Eagle plane we took on the first leg of the trip. My European-born mindset is still amazed that a little plane like this one that makes a 2.5 hour route can be called a 'commuter jet'. In that amount of time you've flown through several countries in the Old Continent. The whole trip took about 12 hours when you add driving time to and from the airports, going thru security and a 3-hour layover in Chicago.

Nice !!!
Makes me fell like traveling, what I've missed the past months...
And I recognize the European point of view about traveling in the US...

sigh, flying is a drag. I am dreading the flight to the States for Thanksgiving holidays.

Nice drawing! I was similarly amazed, when traveling through Europe, at how easy it was to "pop over" from one country to another.

I really like how the shape takes over the page.
