Beside the Wall

Almost all my trips to Jerusalem I've taken because of guests that came to visit Israel. But, to be true, Jerusalem is worth visiting without any reason! Every time I travel there, I ask myself why I don't do it more often. Today we had some guests, so we took them to Jerusalem. We parked near the Tower of David and walked through the narrow streets of the Old City toward the Western Wall. The view of the Wall is one of most tourist views. But there, my little daughter and I had an opportunity to sit down for a couple of minutes, until everybody was busy sending messages to the God. (As you know, you can put the note between the stones of the Wall, and your wish will come true. Just be patient!) So I had some time to sketch an atmosphere. I drew the left side of the square, mostly the people, (there were much more, but it's hard to catch!). The girl at the first plan is my daughter. The second sketch is from the restaurant where we ate afterwards, calls Zuni, at Nahalat Shiv'a area near the Old City (I recommend!). Come to visit!

I'm sorry Marina. I was looking for both you and Pedro's blog at the same time and used Pedro's name instead of yours. I really love both yours and Pedro's work.
