Meet the correspondents: STUTTGART > Florian Afflerbach

"I drew ever since I can imagine, but through my studies in architecture I learned to construct and engineer a drawing. A six months stay in Paris during my studies was a drastic moment in my development as a drawer, because i had the time to do whatever I wanted. I found two congenial friends and we explored the city together. I learned something very important there: always have a look at what other people do.

In March of 2007 I moved to Stuttgart in order to take my first job as an architect. Stuttgart — the capital of the Swabians, Porsche, Mercedes and german rap — is very ispiring to me, in historical, architectural and social aspects.

Drawing has become something fundamental to me — it carries satisfaction and happiness to me in my daily routine."

your work is great, following it has taught me a lot about perspective.
plus more red-haired/glasses sketchers is a good thing!
